North Vancouver Minor Hockey Association is raising registration fees by $50 for the coming 2011-2012 season. Three factors led to this:
First, the costs of providing our increasing number of programs and services rises every year, and our registration fees must reflect those growing expenses to maintain the financial health of the organization.
Second, except for a $20 increase last year in anticipation of the HST, fees have remained essentially flat for several years. Even with the increase for the coming year, registration fees for North Van Minor are among the most competitive in the region.
Finally, NVMHA has enjoyed the support of a BC Gaming Grant in recent years, but our three-year contract has ended. This money has helped subsidize the cost of ice time and various equipment purchases. The association is applying for a new grant, but we will not if we get it (or even part of it) until tryouts are already under way for the new season.
Your association remains in solid financial shape, and this fee increase for the coming year will ensure that continues to be the case.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to your participation with North Van Minor for the 2011-2012 season.
