NVMHA Interim Rules for Rep Tryout Participation (from August 2021)

“NO SPECTATORS will be allowed in Phase 1 of our Rep Tryouts (Thursday, August 26 to Thursday, September 2).

  1. If your child has been directly exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19:
    ● Do Not Come to the Rink
    ● Notify your Team Manager/Division Director
  2. If your child has tested positive for COVID-19:
    ● Do Not Come to the Rink
    ● Notify your Team Manager/Division Director
  3. If your child is not feeling well or has COVID-19 symptoms:
    ● Do Not Come to the Rink
    ● Notify your Team Manager/Division Director
    ● If this affects a Rep tryout session you must obtain a medical note indicating why you are unable to attend the session as per our Rep Tryout Policy – https://www.nvmha.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/1930/2020/05/RT-_-Absent-with-Medical-Permission-Policy-27May20.pdf
    ● Monitor your child’s health
    ● Return to the Rink only when there are Zero Signs or Symptoms of COVID-19
  4. When you are at the rink:
    ● All players, Team Officials, parents, and spectators must wear a mask when in the arena, except that○ players may go without a mask only while they are on the field of play (which is the ice surface, the bench, and the penalty box) and when they are moving between the field of play and the change room in full gear.○ Coaches may go without a mask while on the field of play
    ● Socially distance yourself from people not in your household — Do not sit or stand close to others (not within 6 feet).
    ● Always follow additional rules set by the arena facility rules, which will change as public health regulations change.
    ● Sanitize your hands when entering and leaving the arena.
    ● If there is any reason to believe that you are at high risk of contracting COVID-19, please stay home to protect yourself.
    ● SPECTATORS-we will be allowing 1 spectator per player to attend pre-season camp only. Spectators must exit the facility immediately after the player’s session has ended and comply with the above rules. Spectators are not allowed in the dressing rooms.
    ● NO SPECTATORS will be allowed for Phase 1 of our Rep tryouts (Thursday, August 26 – Thursday, September 2)
    ● Dressing Rooms-players will have access to dressing rooms 30 minutes prior to ice times and no longer than 15 minutes after ice time.
  5. Harry Jerome Entrance and Exits:
    • Please arrive no more than 30 minutes before your scheduled ice time
    • Enter/Exit: Recreation Doors off 23rd and Lonsdale (by the playground)
    • NO entrance/exit will be allowed through Zamboni doors or through the side entrance on 23rd street!!
