Registration Info and Fees/Refunds

Returning Player Registration

Please note

Registration payments will be deferred until a later date due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Once the season is confirmed we send instructions and require a deposit by mid-June. .

If your player is returning to NVMHA from another association or league please see the new player/transfer information below.

Please note for the 2020-21 Season your players Hockey Canada ID number is required to register.  You can find your number three ways: 1) Log into your ehockey account here 2) contact your team manager/coach – your player’s hockey id is on the official roster 3)contact registrar@nvmha.com. please privide your child’s full name and date of birth including the year. 

See below for registration for new players, players transferring from another association or returning from another league.

New Player or Player Transfers Registration

Instructions for new players or players transfering from another hockey association who are residents of North Vancouver:

  1. Check your residential qualification - you must reside in North Vancouver and provide proof of residence to support the address you provide.
  2. Please CLICK HERE to register your NEW Player
  3. Send via email to registrar@nvmha.com the following documents in one pdf file.
    • a)  the new player registration form
    • b) a copy of your child's birth certificate and
    • c) two proofs of residence showing your name and address in North Vancouver
    • d) players transferring from another hockey association must also submit the PCAHA Application for Player Movement Form found here
    • please contact the registrar for instructions on submitting paper forms
  4. Additional forms may be required for players who are not born in Canada, not Canadian citizens or transferrign from a hockey association outside of Canada. The registrar will contact you with instructions
  5. Players who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents (such as international students) may register to play C hockey only and are not eligible for rep tryouts or affiliation with rep teams.

Registration payments will be deferred until a later date due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Once the season is confirmed we send instructions and require a deposit by mid-June. .

NVMHA accepts cheque, cash or credit card payments. Please contact the registrar for additional payment options.

To view or pay your balance owing

  • Log into TeamSnap from a web browser at https://go.teamsnap.com (note you cannot do this on the mobile app)
  • On the TeamSnap dashboard scroll down to the My Registration section

Installment payments are available by post dated cheque only as follows

  1. Dated June 15, 2020 - $200
  2. Dated August 1, 2020 - 1/3 of remaining balance
  3. September1, 2020 - 1/3 of remaining balance
  4. October 1, 2020- 1/3 of remaining balance

Post-dated cheques for all installments must be received at the same time. See cheque payment for directions.

Cash

For cash payments please contact registrar@nvmha.com

Cheque

Please make cheques payable to NVMHA and drop in the NVMHA mailbox at Ice Sports North Shore (ice level inside the sliding doors. Please record your child's name and division on the cheque.

Additional fees will be levied for returned cheques.

Credit Card

We accept Visa and MasterCard. All credit card payments will incur a credit card processing fee of 2.79% plus .99cents.

Financial Assistance

NVMHA believes that every kid who wants to play hockey should have the opportunity regardless of financial situation. We can offier flexible payments schedules to suit your financial situation. Please contact the registrar to discuss payment options.

In addition, financial assistance may be available to those who qualify from

If you are applying to grants from these or other organizations please notify the Registrar.

Refunds

All requests for registration, pre-try out clinic, rep tryout or other fee refunds must be made via the Refund Request Form.  

There are no refunds for skill development sessions - please contact registrar@nvmha.com to reschedule.

Refunds will be processed as follows:

1.   There is a $25 administration fee for all Rep Try out  refunds until July 31. After July 31 there are no refunds on rep tryout fees.

2. There is a $25 admin fee for all hockey clinic/camp refund requests. No refunds will be given after the clinic has started.

Registration Fee Refunds

1.   Registration fee refunds requested by August 15th will be given a full refund minus a $50.00 processing fee.

2.   Registration fee refunds requested after August 15th and before September 30th will be at 75% of the original registration fee.

3.  Registration fee refunds requested between October 1st and October 31st will be refunded at 50% of the registration fee.

4.  Registration fee refunds requested between November 1st and November 30th at 25%.

5.  No refunds will be issued after November 30th unless the treasurer approves them.

6.  All refunds will be made by cheque mailed to the address requested.

7.  Refund cheques requests are submitted each Friday. Cheques can take up to three weeks to be mailed. from Friday of the week the request was made. 

8. Medical refund requests may be considered after Nov 30. All information is treated confidentially. Please send the following information to the Registrar:

Players name division and team

Date of last game played or practice attended

Nature of the injury and expected date of return to play

Doctor note supporting nature of injury and date of return to play

 


Rep Team Fees

Carding Fees for Atom to Midget Rep Teams

Carding fees are paid directly to the team manager. The fees cover the following costs:

  • extra ice 
  • more expensive home game ice during prime time 
  • additional referee fees 
  • gym strip every second year
  • rep socks every second year 
  • newer and better quality uniforms, 
  • additional team pucks, 
  • additional team skills 

Professional Coaches Fees - Rep Teams

The professional Coach program was implemented in 2008 to attract higher quality coaching for NVMHA Rep teams. Rep team parents will share the costs of the professional coach and pay the fee directly to the team manager. 

Rep Team Fees - additional fees may be levied to cover tournament, dryland, skill development and other costs as determined by individual teams.
