IGNITING PASSION, ELEVATING PERFOMANCE

U15 PEAK
PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

The NVMHA PEAK PERFORMANCE PROGRAM offers an athlete-centric approach that allows students to stay enrolled in their high school of choice, remain at home, and integrate specialized on and off-ice training into their daily routines. With a focus on affordability, skill development, and holistic growth, we help players transform their passion into performance—both on and off the ice.

NVMHA is a proud not-for-profit community hockey association and understands families and players want an option to develop hockey skills while prioritizing mental and physical well-being without compromising academics and other extracurricular activities.

65-75 ON-ICE HOURS

  • Led by certified high performance coaches.
  • Dedicated position specific sessions for Forwards & Defense.
  • Weekly specialized goalie training.

65-75 OFF-ICE HOURS

  • Dryland training for strength, mobility, flexibility, and conditioning, with dedicated Strength & Conditioning coaches.
  • Weekly and monthly video analysis and review.
  • Educational sessions with guest speakers covering topics such as Nutrition & Hydration, Sports Psychology, Injury Prevention, and Goal-Setting

PEAK PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

The 2025-26 PEAK PERFORMANCE PROGRAM will end March 11, 2026. We're pleased to offer a spring off-season training program from April - June 2026, open to existing NVMHA Peak Program participants.

For the 2026-27 season, NVMHA will return with a PEAK PERFORMANCE PROGRAM. Interested U15 (2012 and 2013) participants are required to submit an Alternate Timetable Request to their High School by May 15, 2026. To support the NVSD timelines, NVMHA will be hosting an information session in early March to prospective families.

What Families Can Expect for 2026–27
• A full school-year, high-performance model (no stand-alone in-season option).
• A structured, year-round program meeting the School District’s participation expectations.
• Integration with Rep seasonal plans (September–March), aligning Peak sessions with team
practices and development priorities.
• A defined off-season component (April–June), with particular emphasis on off-ice training
to support in-season performance.
• Space will be limited, and participation is not guaranteed.

NVMHA Peak Participation Will Require
• A signed full-year commitment agreement (September to June).
• A recommendation from the player’s current coach.
• A teacher recommendation supporting the student’s academic standing and engagement.
• Demonstrated attitude, effort, behaviour, and academic responsibility.
• A willingness to contribute positively to the association and community.
