The North Vancouver Minor Hockey Association (NVMHA) is thrilled to introduce our new, cutting-edge High Performance Program that will be tailored specifically for U15 Rep players for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

This program is designed to elevate your game and take you skills to new heights, both on and off the ice.

Here’s everything that you need to know about the new program.

Comprehensive Training Schedule

This six month program will run from September 23, 2024, to March 14, 2025.

The program is designed to integrate seamlessly with each team’s practice schedule, ensuring that players can fully participate without conflicting with their team commitments.

All on-ice sessions will be led by outside professional skills coaches, providing expert guidance and personalized attention.

Competitive Gameplay

NVMHA teams will compete within the PCAHA League tiered levels.

This program will operate outside of school hours, ensuring that players won’t miss any classes.

Players will also have the freedom to attend any secondary school; there’s no requirement for the SD44 Peak Program option.

Intensive Skill Development

Coupled with their regular team schedule of games and practices, HPP players can expect between 65 to 70 practices focused on skill development.

Dedicated strength and conditioning coaches will also guide players through 45 to 50 hours of dryland training, enhancing strength, flexibility, and athleticism.

Finally, players will also benefit from on-ice and off-ice video analysis and review, empowering players to fine-tune their techniques and decision-making.

Ice Time Details

On-ice skills sessions for HPP players will take place on weekdays at 6 am in the morning or 3:45 pm. Here’s what a typical week might look like for players in the HPP program:

  • Monday – 6:00 am HPP skills session
  • Tuesday – Evening team practice
  • Wednesday – Afternoon HPP on-ice skills and HPP off-ice training
  • Thursday – Evening team practice
  • Weekend – PCAHA league games and tournaments

Financial Considerations

This program will cost approximately $3,000 per player. This fee is in addition to the NVMHA season registration and rep team fees.

In order to ensure personalized attention, the program will be limited to a maximum of 30 registrations, including goalies.
